Hey everyone!
I made a thing! (Okay, fine—Duck.ai/Claude Haiku helped, but I did the prompting! 😅)
Why I Made This Thing
I’ve been working on getting comfortable with the pitches of A2 and E2, which sit near the lower end of my vocal range. While I don’t have perfect pitch, I’m hoping to internalize these notes to improve my relative pitch.
The Journey to the Final Product
At first, I considered using Python to generate the tones. I got as far as writing the code to produce a single note, but then realized two things:
- Adding a simple interface would be extra work.
- A basic web page would do the job just fine.
So here we are!
Design Choices
I’m a fan of the Dracula theme, so I borrowed from its dark background color and paired it with cyan text for contrast—it pops nicely against the background.
To keep things simple, I consolidated everything (HTML, JS, and CSS) into a single file since the project is small.
With regard to audio there are four basic waveforms:
Sine, Square, Triangle and Sawtooth.
I opted for Square because, for me, it was the most present of the four.

I wanted to show what’s possible with AI chatbots for small-scale projects. They can be small simple tools to help you with whatever your goal is.
